What is a coach from the perspective of the client?
As a coach it is my primary concern to open up new perceptions. You will perceive me in very different roles. I want to list the most common and also the most important ones here. If you get a little feel for these roles you will maybe already feel which partner is actually missing in your environment. These roles are not defined by us prior to the coaching, they arise quite naturally in the joint conversation.
- Critical learning partner - together with you I analyze your problem and the resources with which you can solve it.
- Caring vigilante - I ensure a "protected space" in which you can learn.
- Compassionate companion - I accompany you caring and give you "emotional" encouragement.
- Learning stimulative agent provocatuer - I confront you with contradictions and new perceptions.
- Tolerant idealist - I support you in recognizing your own values and in living them authentically.
- Motivating learning animator - I create a positive learning environment and help you to "thaw" learning resistances.
- Order orientated supplier - I perceive your problem, or rather aim as an order and never lose sight of it.
